Felix (Phil) del Vecchio, LCSW, LADC, CCS
Felix is a private therapist with a practice with young people, adults, couples,
and families in Portland, Maine. He also does consulting and training in the
New England area. For two years he was the Clinical Program Manager at
Mercy Hospital Recovery Center (In and Outpatient). He was the Vice
President of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services at Youth
Alternatives, Inc. as well, where he put together a continuum of outpatient
services for youth and families. Prior to coming to Maine he lived and worked
in New Jersey. He has been in the field of substance-abuse treatment and
mental health for 25 years. He has done extensive work with the dually
diagnosed and is trained in Gestalt therapy. He attended both Temple
University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Fordham University in New York
City where he obtained an MSW. The most important elements in his life are
his family, a wonderful social-worker wife, who is also a grand master teacher
of an 8 year old son.
