Jill Findley, Ph.D., is an educational psychologist, licensed physical therapist, certified yoga teacher, and team member for the Health Education & Training Institute (HETI). She has been a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers since 2019 and  is honored to be part of HETI's coding team. Jill is passionate about Motivational Interviewing and is a dedicated learner, compassionate instructor, and excellent listener.

Jill has taught both Research Methods and Biostatistics at the graduate level. Her research interests include meta-analysis, psychometrics, biofeedback, and motivational interviewing in healthcare interventions.

She has worked with people with a variety of illnesses and conditions such as those with amputations, autism, chronic pain, developmental disabilities, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries in addition to those in post-surgical recovery. Her work experience spans hospitals – including the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, clinics, home care, schools, and universities.

Jill earned her B.A. in psychology from Boston College (Magna Cum Laude), her M.S. in physical therapy from Columbia University, and her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the City University of New York.
