Kathryn Hartlieb, PhD, RDN

Dr. Kathryn (Katie) Hartlieb, PhD, RDN, is a nutrition and communication specialist and part time Assistant Professor at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. She holds a doctorate in Nutrition and Food Science and is a registered dietitian nutritionist licensed in the State of Florida. As a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) since 2009, Katie loves exploring health behavior change with clients, learners and organizations.

 

Her past research and project management experiences include federally and privately funded projects empowering youth and families to achieve healthy lifestyles in the areas of nutrition, weight management, lactation, HIV, and substance use.

 

Katie teaches university-level nutrition and communication courses as well as tailored lectures and seminars for community organizations. She also specializes in Motivational Interviewing coaching and coding.

 

A south Florida transplant from the Midwest, Katie enjoys training for triathlons, experimenting in the kitchen, and boating with her family.
