MITI Coding and Coaching Trainings
MITI 4.2.1 Coding Training
How effectively is a clinician using Motivational Interviewing (MI)? The Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity (MITI) Version 4.2.1 behavioral coding system provides answers to this question and helps us shape feedback for improved skillfulness. This workshop provides particular and unique value over two days: offering intensive practice in coding coupled with specific application to coaching and feedback delivery.
Participants will engage in learning through well-paced, immersive and highly interactive discussions, using written materials, videos, audio recordings, exercises, and multiple practice opportunities. Participants will also have multiple opportunities to develop coaching plans for a variety of scenarios and practice delivering coding and coaching feedback. This workshop is ideal for practitioners who are interested in elevating their MI skills to a new level, for evaluating and improving one’s own work or helping others become more skillful, preparing for research projects using the MITI, and/or for supervising and coaching others effectively in MI practice.
“Absolutely will have impact on my understanding of and support for developing an agency-wide corporate culture of MI.”
"I am glad I attended the training, I now feel more confident using coding and MI. I believe at our agency we will be able to better serve our clients now that we have attended this training and practiced coding."
