Danielle Sessler, COO (Chief Operations Optimist)
Danielle Sessler has a passion for collaborating with mission-driven organizations. Previously, she worked with a leading training organization for mental health and substance use disorders, training and supporting Recovery Coaches throughout the state of Vermont. Through her work in program development, marketing, and advocacy, she has developed and led training programs, organized events and conferences, run social campaigns, and produced videos to make a positive impact in the communities she serves.
Through her work with Recovery Coaches, Danielle was introduced to Motivational Interviewing in 2019 and was taken by the compassionate teachings of Stephen Andrew and the Health Education & Training Institute. In 2025, she became a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).
Prior to working with Recovery Coaches, Danielle produced commercials and social content for an advertising agency, working with clients such as Samsung, Verizon, and The Ad Council. Danielle received a BA in Drama from Ithaca College. She has worked with theatres in the greater New England and tri-state area, including the Hangar Theatre, Northern Stage, Vermont Stage, and the New England Youth Theatre.
