Danielle Sessler, COO (Chief Operations Optimist)
Danielle Sessler has a passion for collaborating with mission-driven organizations. Previously, she worked with a leading training organization for mental health and substance use disorders, training and supporting Recovery Coaches throughout the state of Vermont. Through her work in program development, marketing, and advocacy, she has developed and led trainings, organized events and conferences, run social campaigns, and produced videos to make a positive impact in the communities she serves.
Through her work with Recovery Coaches, Danielle had the opportunity to deep dive into Motivational Interviewing in 2019 and was taken by the compassionate teachings of Stephen Andrew and the Health Education & Training Institute, incorporating these educational trainings into her personal and professional life.
Prior to working with Recovery Coaches, Danielle produced commercials and social content for an advertising agency in New York City, working with clients such as Samsung, Verizon, and The Ad Council. Danielle received a BA in Drama (Theatre Directing) and a minor in Writing from Ithaca College. She has worked with theatres in the greater New England and tri-state area, including the Hangar Theatre, Northern Stage, Vermont Stage, and the New England Youth Theatre.
