Motivational Interviewing: Advancing the Practice

This training, which has a prerequisite of at least four hours of Motivational Interviewing training, will delve further into this evidence-based approach and will provide participants with an opportunity to explore creative ways of integrating this approach into an effective therapeutic intervention. During this workshop, participants will briefly review and practice Motivational Interviewing spirit and some basic skills with an overview of what's important. Participants will learn about change talk and methods of eliciting and also learn how Motivational Interviewing overlaps and integrates with other therapeutic methods.
