Self-Directed Motivational Interviewing Courses

Many people prefer a more independent, self-directed mode of learning. We have developed two, with more on on the way, courses to address this need.

Introductory Motivational Interviewing is our long-standing course which over two thousand people have taken over the past few years.

  • "I enjoyed that I could go my own pace. My favorite highlights of the course were the videos of Stephen Andrew, the quizzes, and the pre and post test to see what I learned."

  • "This is a great course and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a well-done general intro to MI."

  • "I have recommended it to three other nurses who are signing up."

Intermediate Motivational Interviewing is the new kid on the block.

The main text for Motivational Interviewing is Motivational Interviewing: Helping People Change by William R. Miller and Stephen Rollnick. While it is not required reading for either self-directed course, we enthusiastically recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about Motivational Interviewing.
